MORE LAUNCH EVENT AND CRIMINOLOGY CAREER PANELS
On March 22, 2012 Alumni & Friends of Criminology officially launched their MORE for FSU (Mentors Offering Real-world Education) program with panelists Wendy Ammons, Dr. Susan Sayles and Lisa Brock. Following the launch, the College of Criminology hosted their annual Career Panel with the MORE mentors and panelist Shane Desguin. The event was hosted by Dr. Patricia Warren.
Criminology Hot Chocolate Social
On January 23, 2012 Criminology through its first annual Hot Chocolate Social in connection with FSU's The Great Give. Students who 'liked' AFC on Facebook were given a free pass to the Hot Cocoa Bar, and student level donors received an early edition of our newest shirts!
Criminology Internship Expo
On November 3rd, 2011, Criminology hosted its first annual Internship Expo featuring representatives from over ten local law offices and law enforcement and corrections agencies. Students were invited to come dressed to impress with updated resumes and were able to apply on-the-spot to different opportunities.
AFC Annual Recognition Dinner
On September 15, 2011, Alumni & Friends of Criminology hosted its annual Annual Recognition Dinner. The night recognized several of the College's scholarship recipients, remembered longtime staff member and friend, Mary Harris and inducted the Class of 2011 Hall of Fame. The Class of 2011 included Colonel Curtis D. Earp, Jr. (Ret), Dr. James Murdaugh, and Jeffrey Shaara.
Class of 2011 Alumni Welcome
On April 29, 2011, Alumni & Friends of Criminology honored its 267 graduates at the Class of 2011 Alumni Welcome before the official commencement ceremony. The event featured welcomes from Dean Tom Blomberg and alumnus Carmen Battaglia.
Alumni & Friends Launch Dinner
On September 23, 2010, Alumni & Friends of Criminology hosted its Launch Dinner. The Launch Dinner honored Gordon P. Waldo, awarded undergraduate and graduate scholarships, and inducted Chief Valdez "Val" B. Demings and Sheriff John H. Rutherford into the Hall of Fame.
