Mentors Offering Real-World Education

The College of Criminology and Criminal justice can give young women the nation’s best criminology education, but we need your help to give them more.

Criminology alumni lead in every field they enter, but one group in particular has had to work a little harder to get there. When our program began 60 years ago, only 15% of Criminology students were women, mirroring a male dominated workforce. Our student body has evolved, but we know there is more work to do. Women still earn less, receive fewer promotions, and hold fewer administrative positions than their male counterparts, which is why the Alumni & Friends of Criminology has pioneered the MORE program.

For more information on becoming a mentor or mentee, contact Danielle Drazin at ddrazin@fsu.edu.

GIVE MORE - BECOME A MENTOR

Mentors

As a mentor you will empower the next generation of female leaders to change the role of women in the workplace. Your guidance will provide long-lasting skills that prepare these young women to confront issues with a wealth of knowledge and the support of a mentor they admire.

GET MORE - BECOME A MENTEE

Mentees

As a mentee, you'll be given guidance from a female leader in the field of your choosing. These mentors will provide support as you choose your major, extracurricular activities, search for an internship, and explore your post-education plans.
